Machine for belt grinding and weld dressing of welded seams of stainless steel sinks, surface sanding. The GAMMA cnc sanding machine comes in two versions: The EB with a processing head for single belts and the DB version with a head for two belts for weld seam grinding.
The manual grinding of the weld on a stainless steel basin always leaves a varying surface, as the worker cannot constantly guide his tool. In contrast, automated machining with a GAMMA machine provides uniform feed and pressure, creating a harmonious appearance.
The GAMMA-DB weld seam grinding machine has 3 NC axis and is controlled by a SIEMENS 840D sl. In addition to the NC axes, the grinding pressure can be programmed variably. The sanding process uses abrasive belts with a length of 3,500 mm. A special feature of the GAMMA-DB cnc sanding machine is that the machine has been equipped with a double-belt head. This allows 2 abrasive belts with different grit size to be loaded. This eliminates the need for manual belt changing from roughing to finishing. This reduces downtimes due to tool changes.
The contact discs/wheels for weld seam grinding can be quickly replaced via a change system. In this way, not only different diameters and hardnesses can be changed, but also the so-called free belt unit for slack belt grinding. Belt grinding with the slack belt generates a particularly smooth shape of the radius.
For higher material removal, for example, the unit with contact disc/wheel can be used for pre-grinding and the free belt unit for fine grinding and rounding of the radius. This creates a harmoniously shaped and rounded radius with constant quality.
