7725 Industrial Belt Grinder and Polishing Machine

Industrial belt grinding, polishing and deburring machine for metal finishing

The IMM 7725 is a versatile industrial belt grinding and polishing machine designed for continuous use in demanding production environments.

With motor ratings from 1.5 to 2.2 kW (approx. 2.0 – 3.0 hp) and flexible configurations, the 7725 is ideal for grinding, deburring, and polishing a wide range of metal components.

Its double-sided design allows combinations of belt grinding and polishing or operation as a dedicated grinding or polishing station.

The machine can be used as a stand-alone unit or integrated into workbench environments.

Standard sanding belts with a length of 2,000 mm (78.7") and a width of 50 mm (2") can be used.

Maximum contact wheel diameter is 200 mm (7.9") (polishing wheels up to 250 mm (9.8") with a bore of 20 mm (0.79").

Why the IMM 7725 stands out in industrial belt grinding

The IMM 7725 is engineered for continuous industrial operation (S1 duty) and delivers consistently low vibration levels for superior operator comfort.

Compared to standard workshop belt grinders, the 7725 offers:

  • Low vibration design for reduced operator fatigue
  • Industrial-grade construction for long-term reliability
  • Flexible double-sided configuration for grinding and polishing

This results in improved surface finishes, higher productivity and better working conditions — even during long production shifts.

Typical applications of the 7725 belt grinding machine

The 7725 is used across a wide range of industries for metal finishing and deburring:

  • Stainless steel surface finishing and satinizing
  • Deburring of cast parts (steel and aluminum)
  • Polishing of sanitary fittings and components
  • Grinding of surgical instruments and precision parts
  • General metal fabrication and workshop applications
  • Satin finishing using Scotch-type wheels
  • High-gloss polishing with buffing wheels

7725 belt grinding machine versions and configuration options

The IMM 7725 can be configured to match specific production requirements:

  • Single or double-sided machine design
  • Combination of belt grinding and polishing units
  • Optional frequency converter for variable speed control
  • Choice of motor power 1.5 – 2.2 kW (approx. 2.0 – 3.0 hp)
  • Workbench or stand-mounted configurations

This flexibility allows precise adaptation to different materials and finishing requirements.

Grinding, polishing and satin finishing with one machine

The IMM 7725 is not only used for belt grinding, but also widely applied for polishing and satin finishing operations using buffing wheels and Scotch-Brite™ type tools.

Typical configurations include:

  • Buffing wheels for high-gloss polishing of metal components
  • Scotch-type wheels for uniform satin and brushed surface finishes
  • Combination setups with one side grinding and one side polishing

This makes the 7725 a highly flexible solution for applications where different surface finishes are required within the same workstation.

In industries such as medical device manufacturing, the machine is frequently used to achieve consistent satin finishes on stainless steel components.

Industrial Belt Grinder vs. Belt Sander – What’s the Difference?

While the terms belt grinder and belt sander are often used interchangeably, they refer to very different types of machines.

Belt sanders:

  • Typically used for light-duty applications
  • Common in workshops and maintenance environments
  • Designed for intermittent operation
  • Limited power and durability

Industrial belt grinders (like the IMM 7725):

  • Designed for continuous operation (S1 duty)
  • Built for industrial production environments
  • Suitable for grinding, polishing, buffing and satin finishing
  • Heavy-duty construction for low vibration and consistent results
  • Configurable with double-sided working stations
