IMM Establishes North American Representative Office
Riederich, Germany / Chicago, Illinois – July 2026
IMM Maschinenbau GmbH is pleased to announce the establishment of its North American Representative Office in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The new representative office strengthens IMM's long-term commitment to customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico by providing a local point of contact for sales, project coordination and customer support.
For more than 70 years, IMM Maschinenbau has been developing and manufacturing high-quality grinding, polishing, deburring and surface finishing machines in Germany. Today, IMM's solutions are used worldwide in demanding industries including gas turbines, aerospace, medical technology, automotive and precision manufacturing.
The opening of the Chicago representative office marks another important milestone in the company's international growth strategy. While all engineering, manufacturing, assembly and factory acceptance testing continue to take place at IMM's headquarters in Riederich, Germany, North American customers now benefit from an additional local presence in one of the world's leading manufacturing regions.
Visitors are invited to meet the IMM team at IMTS 2026 – International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, where the company will present its latest developments in automated grinding and polishing technology for high-value metal components.
The Connecticut Aerospace & Defense Conference 2025
IMM Maschinenbau participated in the Connecticut Aerospace & Defense Conference in Hartford, USA, on November 4–6, 2025.
The event provided an opportunity to discuss CNC grinding, polishing and finishing solutions for turbine blades, airfoils and other precision aerospace components with industry professionals.
EMO 2025 in Hannover
The worlds largest machine tool technology show took place again in September 2025. We exhibited a SPE 6 CNC axis turbine blade grinding and polishing machine with SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE as well as numerous belt grinding and polishing machines for metal g finishing applications.

Our Japanese partner YKT
YKT has been importing machine tools to Japan since 1924. YKT has been the IMM distributor and service partner in Japan for over 40 years. We were honored to exhibit yet again at their booth at JIMTOF 2024. The YKT team and our staff from Germany look back to many fruitful discussions and meetings. From IMM Germany Mr. Markus Michalski and Mr. Nikolas Lehrke were present. Our booth was E2008 in the East Hall 2.
